Location

The Coco de Mer hotel and the Black Parrot Suites are situated at Anse Bois de Rose on the Southern coast of Praslin on the beach facing the sea. . It has spacious grounds, comfortable rooms, a private location and a friendly atmosphere. Set on the edge of the ocean, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding islands, forested mountainside and glorious sunsets.

Distance from airport is 8 km (20 minutes by taxi). Flight time from the main island, Mahé, is 15 minutes.

The Coco de Mer Hotel, which was renovated in 2006, comprises 40 standard rooms: 32 doubles and 8 twins. All the 40 rooms have view of the garden and of the sea.

The Black Parrot Suites (12 junior suites) are perched separately from the main hotel on a little hillside, which lies on the edge of the ocean. They form, in effect, a separate all-suite hotel, which enhances the secluded, tranquil atmosphere.

Restaurant & Bars
Our restaurants offer full English breakfasts; international & Creole cuisine; barbecues; buffets & Table D’hôte menus. Our set menu consists of a five-course meal. Many choices are provided, with the emphasis on quality and professional presentation. We cater for vegetarians. A poolside bar and grill is available. Our two bars offer refreshing drinks.

Live entertainment is provided several times a week. Gentlemen are required to wear trousers to dinner.

•  Beaches: the Hotel lies on several small beaches, which form part of Anse Bois de Rose, a large tranquil bay. Clients always have access to ample sunbathing areas; large sand terraces; palm tree strung hammocks, and sun loungers.

• Complimentary transfers to Anse Lazio Beach are available to our guests three times a week from May to October, and twice a week for the remainder of the year. Anse Lazio is one of the nicest beaches in the Seychelles.

• Catamarans: The luxurious 42 foot Catamaran, “Charming Lady” and the 46 foot catamaran “Summer’s Day”, operate in association with the hotel. This offers its clients the opportunity of discovering, in comfort and style, tranquil bays, deserted islands, and unspoilt tropical beaches. It has six spacious double en-suite cabins, and comes supplied with a qualified, multi-lingual skipper. Overnight as well as extended cruises are on offer.

Room facilities

Standard Rooms (at the Coco de Mer hotel): there are 40 standard rooms (32 doubles and 8 twins), all spacious, modern, comfortable, and sea facing. The rooms are large, averaging 50 square metres in size. Interconnecting rooms are available. All rooms have a seating area, with one or two couches, which can be converted into beds for children. All rooms have a terrace or balcony.

Junior Suites (at the Black Parrot Suites: our 12 junior suites are large (62 m² plus), and each has a balcony and a spectacular sea view. They are situated separately from the standard rooms, on the edge of the ocean, with a pool, restaurant and bar in the centre. Children under 12 years are not accepted.

All rooms, both standard and junior suites, have the following facilities:

Bathrooms: spacious and en-suite, each with basin; a bath and a walk-in shower; WC; and bidet. The suites have twin basins and a corner bath.

Families: the Coco de Mer Hotel (our standard rooms) welcomes families. Special rates are offered to children, and a variety of facilities are provided. All standard rooms have one or two built-in couches, which can be converted into beds for children or for an extra adult. Cots are available. Please note: the Black Parrot Suites does not accept children under the age of 12 years.
