The first 18-hole championship golf course built in Seychelles, situated at Lemuria Resort, was officially opened on the 22 October 2000. Many golfers have hailed the new par 70-course as the most beautiful of its kind in the world. It traverses magnificent scenery including views of three spectacular beaches. The design by internationally renowned golf architect Rodney Wright helped by the champion Marc-Antoine Farry, incorporates a series of waterways with margins of endemic palms and broadleaf woodland.
