Location

Opened in December 1999, the first five-star luxury hotel in the Seychelles, the Lémuria Resort of Praslin enhances this legendary site by blending with the luxuriant vegetation of the island, amidst 150 hectares covered with palm groves in their natural state.

The architecture and interior design were created with natural materials such as wood, stone, pink granite and thatch. Everything is in total harmony with the environment and in accordance with the strict conservation regulations that govern and protect the outstanding beauty of the Seychelles. In respect of nature, even the lighting has been ingeniously designed so that the turtles are not disturbed when they come ashore at night to lay their eggs.

On the slope of the hills, the Lémuria Resort with its majestic vaulted colonnade, overlooks the two Anse Kerlan coves with a panoramic view of the lagoon. Anse Georgette, one of the three hotel beaches accessible by sea, is considered to be one of the most beautiful beach in the world.

Bars and Restaurants:

For lunch, the “Pool Bar” with tables near the water’s edge, offers a range of snacks, sandwiches and salads, “à la Creole”. You may opt for the cool shade of the “Beach Bar” perched on the granite rocks and just a step from the beach. Picnic baskets are also provided on request.

The “Legend Restaurant” provides a wonderful setting for a candlelight dinner overlooking spectacular gardens. For pre- or after-dinner drinks, the “Legend Bar” is tastefully decorated with refined wood and natural colours of African inspiration. A few metres away in the hotel gardens, you will be able to dine in a more relaxed ambience at the golf course restaurant and bar “Sea Horse” offering Mediterranean cuisine.

Health and Fitness centre:

At close proximity from the golf club house, the Fitness Centre provides a wide range of treatments and keep-fit exercises, in small elegantly appointed bungalows, where wood and stone dominate in a haven of peace and relaxation—a real harbour of peace where you can abandon yourself to lots of pampering and personalized attention offered by a team of expertly trained specialists.

Extra facilities include a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, bodybuilding equipment, a hairdresser, beauty & body care treatments (with tailored programmes combining varied modules). There is also a spa where magic hands will massage away all stress using aromatherapy methods.

The House of Guerlain opened in October 2002.

Golf car and green fees for golf are complimentary for residents of the Lemuria. Tee Off starts at 07:00. All starting times are at 10 minutes interval.

• The miniclub, “Turtle Club” is set amidst the palm groves and welcomes children from the ages of 4 to 12 until 21:00 h each day. Children can enjoy sports activities, shows, educational and video games and outings to the Vallée de Mai. Babysitting is available on demand and is payable.

Room facilities

The hotel comprises of 88 Junior Suites, 8 Senior Suites, 8 Pool Villas, and 1 Presidential Villa. All are hidden in the dense vegetation and flora, less than 15 metres from a beach preserved in its pristine state: no umbrellas, no deck chairs, keeping the panoramic vista totally unspoilt and virtually untouched. With thatched latanier roofs, facing the Indian Ocean and the setting sun, all suites open on to spacious, shaded outside living areas, in close communion with nature and ideal venues  for leisurely breakfasts.

Junior Suite & Senior Suite :

There are 8 Senior Suites with a floor area of 115 m2, and 88 Junior Suites with a floor area of 52 m2.

All the suites are equipped with individual air conditioning, mini bars, and in room safes, TV, DVD, stereo compact disc and cassette players, telephone plus answering machines.

Pool Villa:

The “Villas by Lémuria” have been designed to offer privacy and exclusivity. Each of the 8 villas is a real private residence measuring 725 m2, comprising two bedrooms with private bathrooms, a large living area, a gazebo and an outside dining area tucked in rich greenery around a private pool. In addition, each villa has its own open air bathroom.

All villas are serviced by a qualified “Villa Master”. Guests booked in villas have access to all the hotels’ facilities.

Presidential Villa:

The Presidential villa is pure heaven. Presiding on the slope of the Jean Marie Cape boasting its own private beach, this haven gives the impression of being suspended between sky and ocean.

Measuring 1,250 m2, it comprises 3 bedrooms housed in individual bungalows, with indoor and open air bathrooms, a living area, an outside dining area and a sea facing study. Meandering between terraces, pavilions and lush gardens, three cascading pools merge in shaded tones of blue. A stay at this romantic getaway is a voyage into unspoilt nature taking you back to the elements. All rooms are air-conditioned and ventilated. They also contain: in-room safes, TV, DVD, and CD players, play stations, mini bars, hairdryers, and 24-hour room service.
